Rochdale & District Mind are looking for a passionate HR person to join the team as a People & Culture Business Partner. This is a true generalist opportunity spanning Employee Relations, Recruitment, Learning and Development and Reward, with an opportunity for you to grow your own experience and development in a remarkable charity.
**Every day will be different, but you can expect to be involved in the following activities**:
- Provide a complete HR support service across several sites and functions belonging to Rochdale & District Mind
- Act as EDI lead, ensuring that we are an inclusive and welcoming organisation.
- Provide support on Employee Relations (ER) cases, managing risk appropriately and offering pragmatic solutions while ensuring compliance with relevant laws.
- Deliver advice and guidance including (but not limited to) colleague relations, disciplinary and grievance proceedings, performance management processes, and (sickness) absence management.
- Measure colleague satisfaction and identify areas that require improvement.
- Collaborating with the Learning and development Business Partner to meet organisational people development needs.
- Assist in managing talent and succession planning throughout the whole recruitment and employment cycle.
- Support recruitment and selection activities and campaigns.
- Manage induction and probation for all colleagues, and ensure all HR policies, procedures and processes are followed.
- Act as a trusted advisor and confident to senior management and employees.
- Work with teams, managers and key stakeholders to help build organisation and people capability, shape and implement effective people strategies and activities within the organisation.
- Able to implement the business strategy from a people and culture perspective.
- Comfortable analysing data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Influence and build relationships with people around the business
- Coach and provide feedback to key stakeholders to help improve the organisations efficiency.
- Train and upskill managers, run HR training sessions, and coach senior managers.
- Manage the organisational HR system (Cezanne HR)
**Skills and Experience**:
- Minimum 3 years’ generalist/ People and Culture HR experience - CIPD qualified or equivalent experience.
- Ideally has experience with and passionate about EDI best practice
- Good communication skills (Oral and written) with excellent presentation, influencing and negotiating skills.
- Use of Microsoft Office, e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Have a strong desire to learn all aspects of our organisation and understand its goals
- Possess strategic workforce planning skills
- Good knowledge of Current UK labour legislation.
- Ideally has experience working in the Charity sector or similar but open to applicants that wish to work for a values driven organisation.
