Our Glamorgan Archives Team is looking to employ a **Corporate Trainee** based at Glamorgan Archives, Clos Parc Morgannwg, Leckwith, Cardiff CF11 8AW to contribute to our service helping us to collect, preserve and make available to the public documents relating to the history of Glamorgan dating from the 12th century to the present day. Over 12km of documents are held in the strongrooms of its purpose-built facility.
**About the job**
In this **Corporate Trainee** role, you will learn to:
- Produce high quality digital copies of archive material from the Glamorgan Archives collection
- Edit digital images producing copies suitable for a variety of purposes
- Upload digital content and associated metadata to online discovery portals
- Respond to customer requests for digital copies of material within the collection
- Appropriately handle original archive material
To support your development, you will receive on the job training and supervision, including full training in using our specialist digital imaging equipment and our IT systems, to help you deliver an efficient and effective service in a positive and customer focussed manner. You will also be supported by a named mentor to who will encourage you to develop a range of transferrable skills to support your career progression.
This role will be based onsite at the Glamorgan Archives building in Leckwith, Cardiff.
Working hours will be flexible during our office hours Monday-Friday 8.30am-5pm.

This post is temporary for **6** **months** if worked full time, or longer if worked part time. Most roles are based on a 37-hour week though many roles can be worked on a part time basis.
