Social Media Executive

**Role overview**

This role is for someone who is enthusiastic about social media and wants to build their career in this field within a growing marketing agency that specialises in helping businesses grow through inclusive marketing and accessibility. Some previous experience is required, preferably through a previous job.

An understanding of how B2B social media differs from consumer campaigns is an advantage.

This role is to work with the Social Media Manager on the delivery of client social media campaigns as well as Scaramanga’s own marketing activity. It will provide the opportunity to learn a great deal and work on multiple client projects. There will be plenty of training provided and a real opportunity to progress within the agency.

**Responsibilities and duties**

The role will cover the following areas:

- Scope, film, write, edit and proof-read campaigns across social media
- Posting on social media, engaging with the audience, flagging inappropriate comments
- Manage the awareness day schedule for social media
- Set up and maintain schedules of client social activity and project plans
- Adapt existing graphic templates to create post imagery
- Support on the delivery of paid social media advertising campaigns
- Add and edit content to websites
- Undertake ad hoc competitor and desk-based research for new business pitches
- Recommend changes and improvements where identified
- Join client meetings where required and, in time, take on the account management of social media client accounts

**Skills**

Whilst full training will be provided, the following skills are required:

- Excellent customer service skills
- Working knowledge of platforms, especially LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok
- Good video editing and captioning skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Very high standard of written English, especially spelling and grammar, and the ability to adapt writing style to the clients’ brands
- Good organisation and project management

**Location**

This role will be based in our central Croydon office right next to East Croydon station.

**Salary and benefits**

£27,000 to £28,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus 25 days’ annual leave and company bonus scheme. Benefits include:
