We have exciting opportunity to join our team as an apprentice clerical officer in our Imaging department. The successful applicant with undertake the business administrator level 3 apprenticeship programme and work towards the essential and desirable criteria on the attached personal specification.

You will need IT skills, an interest in administration and English and Maths (GCSE grade D above/equivalent). On completion of the programme, the role will be paid the NHS Agenda for Change Band 2 salary.

**Apprenticeship entry requirements**:
Along with the Business Administrator programme, we will develop your Maths and English skills. If you do not hold a level 2 functional skills/equivalent English and Math qualification,
- if not included you may not be shortlisted.
The training will be provided in house; all off the job training will be within working hours.The apprenticeship will generally take up to 21 months to complete, including end point assessment

Greeting patients at our Imaging Reception desks and processing the appointment on our internal patient management system, together with waiting list administration and contact patients by telephone to confirm details of the appointment. Regular liaison with other team members and checking patient records on various Trust databases. This is a multi-skilled role, and the post holder will rotate with other staff to cover all areas within the service. Full training will be provided.

- Participate in the effective and efficient running of the reception/bookings desk in accordance with departmental procedures
- Collect and accurately record all necessary data from all patients (demographic and GP details, etc) maintaining a pleasant and professional manner at all times
- Support and assist colleagues and other Trust staff on the resolution of problems and queries
- Understand patient preparation required for some Imaging procedures and issue appropriate preparation instructions to patients
