Quality Assurance and Improvement Officer

**About the role**
The primary focus will be to support and develop the quality of services provided to children and young people within Ofsted or CQC regulated setting or in an unregulated provision. The Quality Assurance and Improvement Officer will monitor and evaluate services to ensure compliance with regulations and better outcomes for children and young people. There will be a requirement to maintain regular on-site visits to provider settings.
You will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to build and maintain strong relationships and collaborate with Children’s Services staff, the ICB and finance, legal and procurement, and with providers to ensure that quality is understood and the quality of services provided by homes, schools and other service providers are monitored effectively.
You will lead on the preparation and collation of information to support and maintain the development of quality services in Bury and to support the contract monitoring process.
You will have track record of working creatively to deliver positive outcomes, social value and value for money, while working within statutory and regulatory frameworks. You will be child and family focused and continually strive for the best services possible for Bury’s children.
You will be pro-active and well-organised and be able to work with initiative and a flexible approach to the demands of a busy team. This is a rewarding role and one which will make a difference to the outcomes for children and young people.
The role is hybrid, based at 3 Knowsley Place in supporting agile working. The position will require some working in the office and/or at service providers to meet the needs of the service which will be at least 2 days per week.
This is a full time position and the normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week. Dependent on service requirements, you may be required to work on a rota basis.
A car user is required to fulfil the requirement to complete site visits to service providers.
