**Location**: Based remotely - working primarily within Berkshire, Oxfordshire and outskirts of South West London.
We are looking for a passionate and proactive Regional Education Liaison Officer to join our friendly and supportive team at the University of Hertfordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in raising the University’s profile and recruiting students across the UK.
In this outward-facing role, you will be responsible for delivering student recruitment and outreach activities in South Central England, primarily Berkshire, Oxfordshire and the outskirts of South West London. To support this regional focus, we are particularly keen to hear from applicants who are based within this area.
You will spend most of your time visiting schools and colleges to deliver inspiring presentations, workshops, and events. Periodically you will also be required to spend time on campus in Hatfield, for University open days, recruitment events, and team meetings.

**Skills and experience required**
We are looking for a confident and engaging communicator, who has experience of successfully delivering presentations, talks or workshops and can connect and communicate effectively with pupils in schools/colleges, parents, guardians, teachers and careers advisers. Excellent organisational and administrative skills, alongside excellent presentation and communication skills both written and verbal are essential. The ability to persuade and influence others is essential, as is the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team and manage your own schedule.
You must be able to work calmly and systematically in a busy environment and to meet agreed deadlines, adopting a client-oriented approach to service. You will have a committed approach to issues related to equality and diversity and an understanding of secondary school/further education system.
**Qualifications required**
You will be educated with a minimum of a degree or equivalent or proven professional experience.

In the course of our work and University-led activities, there may be external contractual obligations where a further Enhanced Check is required. DBS checks may require renewal in line with policy.
