RAND Europe* is seeking a Communications Assistant to join our expanding Communications team. You will be proactive, creative and an excellent communicator who is looking to develop their career in communications.

This is a varied role and an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to a world-leading organisation committed to using data and evidence to help advance policy for the wider public good.

You will work with the wider Communications team and researchers based in our Cambridge and Brussels offices, as well as External Affairs colleagues in the US, to communicate our research to a wide variety of audiences.
Key Responsibilities**:You will be responsible for**:

- Coordinating RAND Europe’s social media accounts (currently Twitter and LinkedIn) and collecting analytics
- Supporting media campaigns and media outreach
- Supporting the delivery of outreach events
- Providing administrative support, including setting up meetings, taking minutes, updating trackers, and preparing briefing materials
- Writing copy for an internal newsletter
- Maintaining contact database
- Conducting research for corporate needs
- Developing good working knowledge and keeping abreast of developments concerning data protection regulation
- Undertaking any other ad hoc administrative duties, as necessary
- Complying with all company policies and RAND Europe Management Systems
Skills, Qualifications and Experience**:Experience and Knowledge**
- Experience of using social media in a professional setting
- Experience of writing in a charity/marketing/business setting
- Practical knowledge and understanding of Communications
- Practical knowledge and good understanding of executive support/administration in a professional environment
- Experience of event management

- Excellent organisational and project management skills and the ability to prioritise and multi-task effectively in a calm and focussed way under pressure

- Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel; competent in the use of databases for a variety of tasks with an aptitude and willingness to learn new software packages
- Excellent skills in written English with a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to self-motivate, work as part of a small team, and support colleagues
- Confident, resilient, and resourceful, practising discretion and tact in all matters
