The Sugar Association of London is a non-Profit Trade Association
The Sugar Association of London (“SAL”) was founded by prominent sugar traders in 1882 to provide contract terms and rules for the proper conduct of the international raw sugar trade.
In addition to the provision of contract rules, the SAL delivers a dispute resolution service by way of arbitration management under the SAL rules.
The SAL also provides training in the form of seminars to our Members, and social events/networking events for those working in the sugar trade.

We are looking for a dedicated Secretarial Assistant to help support the Association Secretary.
The Secretarial Assistant will be responsible for providing support to the Association Secretary, the Ruling Council, and Arbitration Panels by:
- Creating and distributing internal memos documentation
- Scheduling meetings;
- Managing and progressing international arbitration matters
- Appointing tribunals and external legal advisors
- Liaising between tribunal and parties
- Attending and arranging arbitration hearings in person and virtually
- Dealing with external advisors and professional services providers (lawyers, accountants, and others)
- Assisting with delivery and organisation of seminars;
- Assisting with delivery and organisation of Association Events;
- Assisting with standard office duties.
**Salary**: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

**Education**:
- Bachelor's (required)
