SNCO Apprenticeship Information Manager

Subject to formal establishment, a vacancy will arise for a Sergeant OR6 ANY to serve as SNCO Apprenticeship Information Manager at Kestrel Court Quedgeley, Gloucester on FTRS (LC) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 04 May 2026 (or earlier/later, subject to candidate status and formal establishment). Whilst the position is tied to Kestrel Court , the post is offered on remote working terms, suitable for those able to work from home and with the ability to dock into their local RAF Station or MoD establishment as and when required. There will also be a planned regular requirement to visit Ph 2 Defence Training establishments to conduct face to face activity with those involved in the delivery of RAF Apprenticeships.
The successful applicant will be accountable for the information processes within HQ RAF Apprenticeships. The iMgr will advise and support all relevant personnel and is responsible for ensuring that information is being captured, stored, distributed, used, retained, and eventually disposed of, in accordance with the law, MOD and AIR policy and guidance as well as local instructions. The role is also responsible for assisting the HQ Apprenticeships Support WO with FGen/FSen requirements, workforce administration across the RAF Apprenticeships establishment and acting as a General Establishment Change Request (ECR) raiser/reviewer.
Job Description:
- Enabling IM and IX on behalf of HQ RAF Apprenticeships.
- Maintaining familiarity with Defence and AIR IM policy and protocols.
- Ensuring HQ RAF Apprenticeships information requirements are identified.
- Management and development of HQ RAF Apprenticeships collaborative working environment to include SharePoint and Teams.
- Identifying and managing HQ RAF Apprenticeships and associated pillars information storage requirements (including access rights and permissions).
- Recording Personal and Business Critical Information Assets on the Air Information Assurance Register (AIAR), including details of their purpose and how they are stored, processed and accessed.
- Providing advice, guidance and support on all aspects of information management and data protection to HQ RAF Apprenticeships and associated pillars personnel.
- Managing all Information Assurance and Accreditation processes (equipment and data) including, establishing and maintaining an HQ RAF Apprenticeships and associated pillars asset register.
- Managing the overall information risk policy and assessment process for HQ RAF Apprenticeships and associated pillars.
- Ensuring new and existing risks to information within HQ RAF Apprenticeships and associated pillars are understood and managed effectively.
- Managing the HQ RAF Apprenticeships and associated pillars IM plan.
- Assist with FGen/FSen requirements.
- Assist with workforce administration.
- Act as general Establishment Change Request (ECR) raiser/reviewer.
- Supporting any other tasks as directed by HQ RAF Apprenticeships management.
