Are you a digital-first leader with deep experience across paid media, SEO, and performance marketing? We're working with a specialist digital agency looking for a Head of Performance Marketing to drive delivery excellence, strengthen their digital offering, and lead the team through a key phase of growth.

As the agency's senior operational and commercial lead, you will oversee the performance of their core services; Paid Search, Paid Social, SEO, and Web Development while ensuring clients receive measurable, high-impact digital solutions. You'll combine strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in optimising operations, enhancing propositions, and winning new business.

This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the direction of a high-performing digital agency, elevate their commercial performance, and lead a talented team in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and energise teams across Paid Media, SEO, Web Development, and Client Services
  • Drive agency growth through strong digital leadership, new business support, and pitch delivery
  • Oversee quality and performance across Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO programmes, and digital campaigns
  • Strengthen core offerings across PPC, SEO, CRO, and web development services
  • Streamline operations, improve workflows, and ensure smooth delivery across all projects
  • Manage budgets, forecasting, and overall profitability
  • Build strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional service and issue resolution
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, best practices, and agency policies

Skills & Experience

  • Strong leadership experience within a digital marketing or performance agency
  • Proven success across Paid Media (Google Ads essential), SEO, and digital campaign optimisation
  • Experience overseeing or working alongside web development teams
  • Proven track record in business development, pitching, and client growth
  • Solid financial and commercial management skills
  • Strategic thinker with strong operational delivery capability
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • High standard of written and spoken communication
  • Experience in the charity / not-for-profit sector beneficial
