What to expect

As a Head of Performance Marketing, you will join us on our journey and undertake a valuable position within the Marketing & Digital function, this is a newly created opportunity reporting to the Marketing & Digital Director.

A new Head of Performance Marketing role has been created in this new structure. This role will lead channel strategy, planning, execution, and measurement for all direct response marketing, acquisition, and CRM – in line with business strategy and the product marketing plans. They will lead the relationship with the media agencies and other third-party suppliers that support acquisition or retention activity. They will be responsible for overseeing the marketing operations lead e.g. the overall marketing plan, central budget management and administration of key processes e.g. procurement, but marketing operations will serve all parts of the Marketing & Digital function. Finally, they will lead our capability agenda in the critical area of data-driven marketing.

In addition to the functional responsibilities, this role will serve as a key member of the Marketing & Digital leadership team and will support the Marketing & Digital Director in ensuring that the function is well managed, delivering for the organisation and building capabilities for the future. This role is critical for POL's growth agenda and so will need to face into a wide variety of internal and external stakeholder groups, including the Group CEO, Chief Revenue Officer, and wider Group Executive Committee.

What you'll need to succeed
Experience
  • Excellent experience in B2C performance marketing roles.
  • Deep subject matter expertise in all channels across acquisition & retention landscape.
  • Proven subject matter expertise in marketing analytics, digital media & martech.
  • Proven success developing & implementing successful marketing strategies & plans.
  • Track record of delivering effective campaigns that delivered tangible business results.
  • Experience managing campaigns with multi-million-pound budgets.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, commercial environments.
  • Experience working with data & analytics to both drive decisions & inform evaluation.
  • Proven record of effectively influencing senior leaders around propositions, strategies & plans.
