Job details

Office administrator required for small Town Planning Consultancy based five miles west of Marlborough in Beckhampton. Working hours are 3 days per week 9-4pm is a preference but some flexibility is possible. (To be discussed). This is a self employed position.

Small friendly dedicated office on ground floor of four storey house.

About MDP

MDP are a small Chartered Town Planning Consultancy who provide landowners, self-builders and property developers with strategic advice and support in maximising the potential for their land assets. We work with a wide range of client types from high net worth individuals to private land and home owners. We have good exposure to the self-build market through affiliation with the National Self Build Centre.

Duties include

· Updating the website & social media with projects & news

· Completing online planning forms

· Invoicing

· Basic Planning and site research

· Efficient email correspondence and taking clear messages

· Formatting documents in line with company branding

· Maintaining office filing systems and records

· Maintaining diary, arranging and scheduling appointments / meetings

· Occasional attendance on-site required for example to take photographs

· Occasional ad-hoc errands; dry cleaning, buying milk, posting of parcels etc.

Skills/Knowledge

The ideal person for this role will be self motivated and be able work reasonably independently, using initiative to complete work to a good standard but not being hesistant about asking / flagging questions. No Town Planning experience is required.

· Good written and verbal communication skills

· Proficient in MS Office inc Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint, Canva, Weebly

· Good attention to detail

· Proactive, organised and works on their own initiative

· Ability to work in a fast paced, varied, project-based environment

Experience

· Experience in a professional office environment is essential

· UK Drivers Licence and car owner essential

Terms

The contract will be for an initial three month period, subject to a review, but for the avoidance of doubt this is not a short term requirement. Payment is monthly by invoice.
