We're seeking a passionate and organised Social Media Manager to lead our digital storytelling and elevate Avavivys' online presence.

The ideal candidate will be creative, strategic, and detail-oriented, with a strong understanding of social media trends within the beauty and lifestyle industry. This role combines digital marketing, content direction, and community engagement to grow our brand visibility and engagement across all platforms.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and execute social media content calendars across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube.
  • Create engaging and visually aligned content (posts, Reels, captions, and stories) consistent with the Avavivys brand tone and aesthetic.
  • Analyse audience insights and engagement metrics to refine strategy and improve performance.
  • Collaborate with the founder and creative team to plan campaigns, shoots, and launches.
  • Manage and grow community engagement — responding to comments, DMs, and tagged content in a warm, brand-aligned voice.
  • Stay up-to-date on trends, music, and beauty-related content ideas to ensure Avavivys remains culturally relevant and visually distinct.
  • Assist in planning brand collaborations, influencer outreach, and digital promotions.
  • Maintain a consistent posting rhythm and uphold high creative standards in every piece of content.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in social media management, marketing, or content creation (preferably in beauty, fashion, or lifestyle).
  • Proven experience growing and managing brand social media accounts.
  • Strong understanding of content trends, analytics, and algorithm behaviour.
  • Excellent written and visual storytelling skills.
  • Ability to use tools like Canva, CapCut, or Adobe Creative Suite to create and edit content.
  • Organised, self-motivated, and confident working independently or within a small creative team.
  • Knowledge of paid social campaigns and influencer marketing is an advantage.
