Product Lead – Retail Investing & Stockbroking Propositions

Location:
London, UK (Hybrid: 1–2 days/week in office)

Package:
Up to £135k total (Base + 25% Bonus + 15% Pension + 30 Days Holiday + Full Family Health Cover)

Overview

This is a senior product leadership opportunity to shape the next generation of retail investing propositions for a global financial services leader. You'll own and evolve a suite of retail stock-investing products — including direct equities, ISAs, SIPPs, ETFs, and government securities — delivering customer-centric, commercially viable solutions in an increasingly competitive investment landscape.

The Role

As the
Propositions Product Lead
, you'll define and deliver the strategic roadmap for retail investing and brokerage products, ensuring alignment with the firm's broader investment management strategy. You'll collaborate across product, operations, compliance, marketing, and digital channels to enhance customer experience and platform differentiation.

Core Accountabilities:

  • Own the
    end-to-end product lifecycle
    for retail investing and stockbroking propositions.
  • Shape strategy for products including
    ISAs, SIPPs, ETFs, Gilts, Bonds, and direct equities
    .
  • Define pricing, proposition positioning, and go-to-market strategy in collaboration with senior commercial stakeholders.
  • Drive customer adoption, retention, and engagement across
    D2C
    ,
    IFA-led
    , and
    B2B2C
    channels.
  • Lead proposition innovation — e.g. fractional shares, sustainability portfolios, or thematic investing models.
  • Maintain regulatory alignment across FCA, CASS, and MiFID frameworks.
  • Influence senior leadership through insight-driven recommendations grounded in customer data and market trends.
  • Partner with external custodians, brokers, and data providers to optimise the platform's reach and performance.

Candidate Profile

  • Product or proposition management within
    retail investing
    ,
    wealth management
    , or
    stockbroking
    .
  • Proven track record launching or managing multi-asset investment propositions.
  • Strong understanding of
    retail investment vehicles
    (ISAs, SIPPs, ETFs, equities, gilts, funds).
  • Experience in platform-based business models (D2C, IFA, or hybrid).
  • Commercially minded, with expertise in P&L ownership, pricing, and customer acquisition strategies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-influencing skills at executive level.
  • Strategic thinker with operational pragmatism — able to move from concept to delivery.
