We're working with a prestigious, global speciality insurer (FTSE 500) to appoint a Head of Insight & Propositions — a senior, high-impact role shaping the future of commercial insurance propositions across the UK.

The Opportunity

As Head of Insight & Propositions, you'll lead the strategy, development and optimisation of the UK proposition portfolio, ensuring products remain differentiated, competitive and insight-led.

You'll collaborate across Underwriting, Strategy, Distribution, Marketing and Operations to enhance customer outcomes, accelerate proposition development and embed a robust insights-driven approach throughout the organisation.

You will also lead and develop an Insights Executive, building capability and elevating how the business uses data, research and customer intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy, design and life-cycle management of commercial insurance propositions.
  • Collaborate with Underwriting, Strategy and Sales to refine and streamline product development for improved speed-to-market.
  • Use insights, research, MI, NPS, broker feedback and performance data to drive proposition prioritisation and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer pain points to identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Ensure proposition design meets regulatory, conduct and customer value expectations.
  • Shape go-to-market strategies and review customer and intermediary-facing communications.
  • Build strong internal networks to foster collaboration, curiosity and innovation.
  • Lead, support and develop the Insights Executive.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience leading proposition strategy within commercial insurance or relevant financial services.
  • Strong understanding of insurance distribution dynamics and commercial market conditions.
  • Confidence using insights and research to shape design, strategy and commercial outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management across underwriting, commercial and operational teams.
  • Experience improving proposition processes, customer journeys or product governance.
  • Leadership capability with the ability to influence, develop others and drive delivery.
  • A structured, data-driven approach to decision-making.
