Fundraising Coordinator

Hours: 16 hours per week

Salary: £14,000 £15,000 pro-rata (FTE £28,000)

Location: Edinburgh (hybrid)

Term: Fixed term initially until 30 June 2026. Continuation beyond this date will be subject to funding.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Fundraising Coordinator to help us secure sustainable funding from grants, trusts, foundations and corporate partnerships.

This role is central to ensuring Intercultural Youth Scotland (IYS) has the resources needed to deepen our impact, grow our work and strengthen youth-led change across Scotland.

Working collaboratively with internal teams, you will lead applications, manage our funding pipeline, build relationships with funders and support fundraising campaigns, ensuring all activity aligns with IYS's mission, vision and values.

What You'll Do

As the Fundraising Coordinator, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and delivering fundraising strategies that support long-term sustainability.
  • Identifying and pursuing funding opportunities across Trusts, Foundations, Commissions and Tenders.
  • Leading the preparation of high-quality, persuasive and values-led funding applications.
  • Managing the funding pipeline, stewardship activity and reporting deadlines.
  • Building and sustaining meaningful relationships with funders and partners.
  • Supporting income forecasting alongside the Finance and Operations Manager.
  • Researching trends in grant-making, ethical fundraising and racial equity.
  • Supporting digital and community fundraising campaigns.
  • Coordinating fundraising events as required.
  • Working collaboratively with programme teams to gather stories, evidence and outcomes for proposals and reports.
  • Ensuring fundraising activity strengthens IYS's mission and builds power with BPoC communities.

About You

We'd love to hear from you if you can demonstrate:

Essential Criteria

· Proven experience in fundraising, particularly grant writing and/or corporate partnerships.

· Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling, values-led proposals.

· Ability to build strong and trusting relationships with funders and stakeholders.

· Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines independently.

· Understanding of equity, anti-racism and justice in the context of fundraising.

· Experience using CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, Raiser's Edge).

· High attention to detail and a proactive working style.

· Passion for youth empowerment and community-led change.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Desirable Criteria

· Knowledge of the Scottish funding landscape.

· Understanding of the social, political and human rights issues affecting BPoC young people.

· Experience supporting fundraising events or digital campaigns.

Employment is conditional upon a successful PVG and safeguarding check.
