**Job Title: Fundraising Officer**
**Hours: 16 hours per week**
**Salary: £20 per hour**
**Place of work: Office**
**Responsible to: Manager**
**Main Purpose**:
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Lead on trust fundraising and generating a significant portion of the operating budget;
- Maximising opportunities with new and possible funders;
- Monitoring targets and providing regular performance updates;
- Maintain databases and systems for recording and tracking grant proposals, funding agreements and information about prospects;
- Approaching businesses, local authorities, trusts and individuals to secure funding;
- Planning donation campaigns and events;
- Recruiting volunteers and coordinating their work.
**Required skills and experience**:
- Previous experience in a fundraising team with a minimum of 2 years and proven track in raising funds from trusts, foundations, Government and other funders;
- Sales and negotiation abilities;
- Excellent communication and writing skills, able to communicate confidently with supporters and a range of internal and external stakeholders ;
- IT and social media skills;
- Good organisation;
- Administrative and project management skills;
- Resourcefulness;
- The ability to build and maintain professional relationships;
- Creative thinking;
- Initiative and the ability to solve problems;
- Excellent organisational skills, with experience of completing and managing tasks on time and to a high standard;
- An interest in and commitment to social mobility, social justice, and community development;
- Excellent written skills with direct experience in preparing high-quality written work in a professional environment;
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to create rapport with a range of people, including staff and funders

Part-time hours: 16 per week
**Salary**: £20.00 per hour
