Lasted is on a mission to help people preserve their life stories through MemoryBox: a secure, private, and meaningful digital legacy tool that stores memories for generations. We partner with charities, hospices, and care homes to offer their service users and supporters a way to record their stories - and optionally create a solicitor-reviewed Will.
Role Overview
The Business Development & Partnerships Manager will help bring MemoryBox to the charity and social care sectors. This hybrid role combines
new business sales, account management, and strategic partnership development.
The role is instrumental in building relationships with organisations that support older generations, such as charities, hospices, and care homes.
Alongside a group of Launch Partners, the successful candidate will help shape the future of digital legacy giving with a genuine market-first proposition.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, engage, and onboard new partners (charities, care homes, hospices) to adopt MemoryBox.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring effective usage, rollout, and promotion.
- Create and deliver tailored partnership proposals and business cases.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, operations, and leadership to ensure seamless partner experiences.
- Support onboarding and training for partner staff (e.g., legacy fundraisers, service teams, and care home managers).
- Track partnership KPls, usage metrics, and revenue impact (MemoryBoxes created, wills, pledges, etc.).
- Assist in Lasted's end-of-life strategy: support partners to use MemoryBox as a valuable service and/or pathway to legacy pledges.
- Represent Lasted at sector events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
- 4-6 years of experience in business development, account management, or partnerships.
- Proven understanding of the nuanced fundraising and social care landscape, with a strong focus on trust, ethics, and stakeholder sensitivity.
- Strong relationship building; communication; and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinking and commercial mindset, with the ability to develop business
- cases.
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and using data to drive decision-making.
Desirable Criteria
- Expertise or established network in charity and legacy, social care, digital giving, or legal-tech.
- Knowledge of digital fundraising, legacy/in-memory programs, or regulated environments.
- Ability to create compelling proposals for senior stakeholders, dept heads or boards.
- Awareness of sector-specific metrics for impact reporting (e.g.., legacy pledges, wills).
- Previous experience representing an organisation at events, conferences,.or networking forums.
