The Role
We're looking for a dynamic, commercially driven Business Development Manager to join our growing Food Services Division. Reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and driving Orian's growth strategy — securing new, higher-margin business and expanding our presence across the education and commercial catering markets.
You'll be a proven new business winner who thrives on challenge, builds trusted relationships, and delivers measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
· Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities across public and private food service sectors.
· Deliver growth within education and care markets through strategic business development.
· Leverage your industry network to build a strong and sustainable sales pipeline.
· Collaborate with the Bid Writer to produce high-quality tenders and proposals.
· Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and partners.
· Use market and financial data to inform strategy and ensure commercial success.
· Champion Orian's values of quality, innovation, and service excellence.
About You
· Proven success in business development within food services or catering.
· Strong understanding of education and commercial catering markets.
· Financially confident, data-driven, and strategically minded.
· Excellent communicator with strong influencing and presentation skills.
· Self-starter with the drive to exceed targets and take ownership.
· Full UK driving licence required.
