Joining our Information Security, Privacy and Records team, you'll lead the design, development, and delivery of records lifecycle management across the organisation.
From shaping the systems and tools we use, including MS SharePoint, to ensuring effective procurement, use, and retirement of information assets, you'll make records management an accessible and valuable process for all staff.
As a trusted advisor, you'll guide colleagues on compliance with records and information legislation and play a key role in delivering the Household's records management strategy.
The scale and significance of our information will challenge you to think differently and develop practical, future-ready solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise senior leadership and colleagues on Information and Records Management across the Royal Household.
- Lead the design and delivery of records management processes, including MS SharePoint implementation.
- Develop and drive targeted business plans aligned with organisational priorities and strategies.
- Develop existing policies, strategies, and retention schedules to improve records management and compliance.
- Champion best practice by embedding information management into key programmes and change initiatives.
- Provide clear guidance and expert advice on information governance to staff at all levels.
- Foster a culture of compliance and engagement through close collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Deliver improvements that enhance the discoverability and value of our information assets.
- Work with the Royal Archives, and the Data Protection and Information Security teams to develop digital archiving, strengthen data protection, and mitigate information risk.
Essential Criteria
- With a professional qualification in a related field - you'll have hands-on experience of implementing records management tools and archive solutions in a digitally complex organisational environment.
- You'll have an excellent knowledge and understanding of Records Management legislative requirements, best practice, and practical aspects of delivering an effective records management operation.
- This, along with experience of Microsoft 365 applications, including SharePoint, means you'll confidently manage information across platforms to support security and compliance.
- You'll also have experience in change and project management disciplines, and a track record of leading on impactful initiatives.
- With excellent communication skills and proven experience engaging stakeholders, including senior leaders, you'll build trusted relationships that support effective, organisation-wide information management.
- Flexible and open to change, you'll adapt quickly and contribute confidently in evolving environments.
- With a collaborative mindset, you'll value the varied expertise of your colleagues and enjoy working with the wider team to achieve shared goals and exceptional results.
