Executive - Records Curation Team (Sports)

The main purposes of the Executive, Record Curation Team role are:
- To govern assigned record categories to maintain consistency on how records are created, validated and described at Guinness World Records (GWR).
- To build on the content and records acknowledged by GWR.
The role of Executive exists within the Record Curation Team within the Central Record Services team.
They are responsible for maintaining the integrity and consistency in record titles monitored by Guinness World Records. They are also charged with collaborative work with parties both internal and external to GWR to further develop the records available and our policies supporting them.
**Record governance**
- Govern a set of record categories and maintain consistency on how records are created, validated and described at Guinness World Records (GWR).
- Provide clear information and training about assigned categories to internal customers.
- The Executive’s role is also to look after the existing records within their set of categories in the Records Management System (RMS); cleansing data, detecting and correcting errors, discontinuing records categories and updating record titles and terminologies to reflect current standards and trends.
- Responding appropriately to requests for routine information. Processing enquiries, within the SLA's, referring customers to the right channel. Ensure data and records are kept up to date and accurate.
- Complete and maintain a handbook for each record category detailing the format, main exclusions, terminology, titles conventions and Q&A.
**Research and Analysis**
- Support internal customers with specialist knowledge.
- Work with external consultants within specialist areas.
- Researching and verifying the reliability of sources using online search engines and databases, and other forms of research.
- Proactive research into record titles and areas which relate to specialism, to find gaps within our record keeping.
- Work with Federations and governing bodies who approve record titles, updating our systems with new titles and helping them achieve new records.
**Customer service**
- Responding appropriately to requests, within the SLA's, referring customers to the right channel. Ensure data and records are kept up to date and accurate.
- Providing support for escalated complaints resolution and keeping a written log of the situation.
**Additional responsibilities**
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, externally and internally.
- General office duties working with Microsoft products, word, Excel, teams etc.
- Attending and contribute to meetings and undertake presentations.
- Contribute to brainstorm and creative sessions, being available for conference calls with other offices to share knowledge about specific categories.
**Education/Background**:
- Bachelors in Sports and Exercise science or degree in a related field.
- Good knowledge of physical exercise.
- General sports knowledge
**Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:
- Able to communicate effectively to anyone (both written and verbal), in any environment and flexible to accept frequent changes and unexpected circumstances.
- Sports coaching experience.
- Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Detail oriented.
- Analytical and critical thinking.
- Cultural sensitivity; diplomacy.
- Encourages creativity and innovation and has a vision for their own team.
- A pro-active and can-do attitude.
- Capable of working independently, remotely and proactively while multi-tasking.
- Enthusiastic with a passion for the GWR brand and vision.

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
