Role Overview

The Membership Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of membership operations. This role is integral in supporting the Membership Director in delivering outstanding service and results for our clients, playing a crucial part in attracting, retaining and enhancing member experiences within exclusive clubs, ensuring long-term sustainability and success.

Operating within a consultancy environment, the Membership Manager will work across multiple projects simultaneously, adapting to each client's unique membership model, operational requirements, and brand voice.
Reporting directly to the Membership Director, the Membership Manager will support on seamless delivery of membership-related initiatives, adhering to the highest standards of Copper Beech.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a private members club, exceptional organisational skills, and a passion for member engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Project Delivery

  • Support the Membership Director in implementing membership strategies across multiple client projects worldwide.
  • Oversee daily membership operations for assigned clients, ensuring seamless execution of processes and member interactions.
  • Act as a key point of contact for client teams, providing guidance, updates, and solutions on membership-related matters.
  • Ensure operational workflows, SOPs, and processes are delivered consistently and to Copper Beech standards.

Membership Operations

  • Maintain accurate membership databases and CRM records, ensuring data integrity and GDPR compliance.
  • Support the renewal and retention process, developing engagement touchpoints to strengthen member loyalty.
  • Assist in drafting and refining membership communications, ensuring tone and content align with client brand guidelines.

Research & Insights

  • Conduct market and competitor research to inform membership recruitment, engagement, and pricing strategies.
  • Monitor industry trends across luxury hospitality, private clubs, and member-based organisations to provide actionable insights.

Reporting & Administration

  • Prepare membership performance reports, KPI tracking, and pipeline updates for client presentations.
  • Support the Membership Director in preparing strategic decks and proposals for clients.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strategic
    Thinking & Data Analysis: Ability to analyze membership trends, market data, and member behaviors to make informed decisions.
  • Detail-Oriented Execution: Strong ability to create high-quality, client-facing presentations and reports that are both visually appealing and data-driven

  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of CRM systems, membership management software, and digital tools such as Microsoft Office, Excel, Asana, Dropbox, and Canva.
  • Exceptional Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both internal teams and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Proven experience in team recruitment, training, and development within membership-based organisations.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years' experience in membership management, luxury hospitality, or private clubs.
  • Demonstrated success in managing client or member relationships.
  • Event planning and delivery experience is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of high-end service environments and discretion.
