Job Summary

We are seeking two experienced and dynamic Sous Chefs to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a vital part of our kitchen operations, the Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in managing daily food production, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Duties

  • Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation and presentation.
  • Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of service.
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, maintaining consistency and quality in line with menu specifications.
  • Monitor food safety and hygiene practices in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to develop their culinary skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times.

Requirements

  • Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment.
  • Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production and preparation.
  • Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to lead by example.
  • Sound knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable.
  • Excellent cooking skills across various cuisines and techniques.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and organise a diverse team.
  • Good understanding of food serving procedures and customer service standards.
  • Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings, weekends, or holidays if necessary. This position offers an engaging environment for passionate culinary professionals eager to develop their leadership capabilities within a vibrant hospitality setting.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £24,500.00-£32,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
