Overview

We are looking for a skilled
Senior Internal Communications & Engagement Officer
to deliver impactful internal communications and engagement activity within a large, high-profile public sector organisation. The role will lead on communications planning, content creation, and change engagement to help drive organisational effectiveness and staff connection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement internal communications and engagement plans for both day-to-day and transformation activity.
  • Advise senior leaders and stakeholders on effective communication and engagement strategies.
  • Produce and edit clear, engaging content across intranet, newsletters, leadership messages, and digital channels.
  • Manage and measure communication channels to ensure effectiveness and continuous improvement.
  • Plan and deliver staff events and briefings to support engagement and organisational change.
  • Support intranet development and provide training and guidance to content editors.

About You

  • Proven experience delivering internal and change communications in large or complex organisations.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Confident advising senior leaders and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of intranet best practice, internal comms measurement, and event delivery.
  • Experience using tools such as SharePoint, Drupal, and Teams Live.
