Where will you be working?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We're problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.
This role will be within our
Water and wastewater capital project delivery team.
Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

What will you be doing?
You'll provide strong SHE leadership across all projects and contracts within the zone, ensuring consistent standards and accountability. Lead and support the Health & Safety team through effective line management and mentoring. Oversee audits, inspections, and performance reviews, ensuring timely closure of corrective actions. Monitor SHE metrics to identify trends and risks, reporting key insights to the SHE Director and Operational Leadership. Manage significant incident investigations, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and meaningful learning. Promote continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned across all contracts and the wider Division, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and proactive risk management.
What You'll Bring
- A effective leader with highly developed skills regarding stakeholder engagement and experience of liaison and influence at all levels.
- Demonstrable experience of recognised best practice, risk management techniques and management principles.
- Collaborative, but able to challenge constructively when standards are not met.
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility/versatility combined with initiative, drive and tenacity to deliver objectives.
- NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 6 in Occupational Health & Safety, and holds or working towards CMIOSH.
- Proven experience in senior SHE leadership within large-scale infrastructure.
- Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel extensively across the zone
