TERM TIME ONLY SETTING.

We are seeking an Early Years Educator to join our family centred setting. The successful applicant will present a passion for supporting children to follow their own fascinations and enquiries both indoors and in the natural outdoor environment. They will value the process of children's activity over the finished product and view children as competent learners that have their own ideas and preferred methods of gaining knowledge. The successful applicant will present enthusiasm and passion to share our setting ethos.

The successful application will be provided with training opportunities as required and fully supported by the Manager.

Essential for the role:

Enhanced DBS certificate (can be arranged by the Pre-school)

Level 2 or Level 3 recognised qualification in Early Years

Safeguarding Certificate (can be arranged by the Pre-school)

Previous experience working in Early Years

Desirable but not essential:

First Aid Certificate

Knowledge of Reggio Emilia, Anji Play, curiosity Approach

Forest School experience/knowledge

Safer Recruitment:

The successful application must provide two references, one being from their last employment and undergo an Enhanced DBS (or provide details of their enrolment on the DBS update service). Any convictions must be declared at the interview. The applicant must be compliant with section 15-25 of the immigration Asylum and Nationally Act 2006 so are able to work in Great Britain.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children, ensuring their emotional and physical well-being.
  • Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote early childhood development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's development and attendance.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including First Aid protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall educational experience.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 32 per week
