Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Your ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents will be essential in fostering positive relationships within our nursery community.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote children's development across all areas of learning.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to support their individual learning journeys.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's development and addressing any concerns.
- Support the management team in maintaining a safe, clean, and organised nursery environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and uphold high standards of care.
- Drive initiatives that foster children's social skills, emotional well-being, and independence.
Requirements
- A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is essential.
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to manage small groups of children during activities.
- A commitment to safeguarding children's welfare and promoting their development is crucial.

Pay: £12.50-£13.00 per hour
