Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development and well-being of young children. Your leadership skills will be essential in managing daily activities and fostering positive relationships with both children and their families.

Duties

  • Provide high-quality care and education to children in the nursery setting.
  • Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's development.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment for children to explore and learn.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive team atmosphere.
  • Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and transitions between activities.
  • Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's educational offerings and community involvement.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to lead by example, demonstrating effective management skills within the nursery environment.
  • A passion for childcare and the ability to inspire young learners.
  • Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare are desirable but not essential.
  • A valid driving licence is advantageous for potential off-site activities or outings.
