Master Data Administrator - Customer Analyst

Based out of our UK head office, the Master Data (Customer) Analyst is responsible for ensuring and enhancing the functionality of our master data to guarantee that all our regular business operations can proceed smoothly. This is done by day-to-day analysis and manipulation of our data sets, as well as continuous improvement to our data by way of new systems, revision of existing processes and training and supporting end users of the data sets.

The Customer Master Data Analyst role is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to begin their career in data or receive a solid understanding on the importance of data in a business environment. This role will receive job specific and career appropriate training and support from the very beginning. The desired candidate will have an interest in developing their skills in data management as well as enjoying understanding technical processes, problem solving and delivering critical solutions.

The role:

  • Data Analysis and Issue Identification. Understanding and adjusting customer data, highlighting any apparent issues and managing/implementing the solution, in both the short and long term.
  • Maintenance of Data. Ensuring data quality is maintained to the highest-level ensuring processes are in place to safeguard the integrity of the data.
  • Problem Solving. Sometimes problems appear, either human or system generated therefore regular problem solving to figure out what is happening, why it is happening and how the issue can be resolved in a timely manner.
  • Integrations of New Systems and Data. Ensuring any integrations of systems, data or new parts of the organisation are handled in the best way alongside other key data team members and our international master data management team. This includes supporting the wider team with integration of acquired companies.
  • Creation of New Accounts in the Correct Structure. Responsibility in not only creating new accounts on our master system but also ensuring smooth integration between other systems with this new account information.
  • Training and Supporting Users. Providing regular training with relevant teams as well as being available to support colleagues who need assistance.
  • Cross Team Collaboration. Clear and precise communication and good collaborative skills to work effectively with colleagues in the immediate Master Data team, the wider Marketing team, other UK colleagues and the international support teams.

To succeed, you will need:

  • Has a high level of analytical skills and enjoys working with large quantities of data, which will be key to succeeding in this role
  • Has at least an intermediate level skillset of working with a number of computing applications, essentially Microsoft Excel
  • Previous experience of SAP is desirable but not essential; if not someone who is able to pick up new systems easily and has a willingness to learn
  • Be a proactive thinker with a determination to succeed
  • Data handling, CRM, SAP (desirable)
  • Accomplished user of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Power Point (essential)
