Overview Of Role
The Master Data Management (MDM) Specialist is responsible for ensuring the maintenance and accuracy of master data on SAP. Examples of master data includes Vendors, Customers, Finance objects such as projects, cost centres etc. The MDM Specialist will support the Business's objectives of creating a single source of master data through accurately reviewing and processing requests for master data changes across all SAP master data. The individual will provide support to the junior team members when processing MDM requests. They will play a key role in embedding new MDM processes and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure the maintenance and integrity of the SAP master data are kept up to date
  • Process master data management requests
  • Timely and accurate processing of Master Data Management requests in line with policy
  • Compliance with performance KPI's for the Master Data Management team
  • Upskilling and support for the Master Data Analysts
  • Responsible for the consistent and ongoing adherence to guidelines and internal controls
  • Ensure ongoing review and cleansing of master data quality
  • Responsible for providing advice and guidance to process owners regarding their requests

Skills
Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Strong data management skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong acumen around Chart of Accounts.

Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of master data domains (customer, vendor finance, etc)
  • Working knowledge of MDM processes
  • Knowledge of TfL data policies across Chart of Accounts
  • Good knowledge of SAP Applications (including Success Factors and SAP Ariba ) and data management systems
  • Familiarity with data compliance standards (GDPR, data privacy regulations)

Experience

  • Experience of working in a MDM function and updating data management structures
  • Experience of working with Chart of Accounts
  • Experience in upholding TfL data policies
  • Experience in maintaining and cleansing large datasets across multiple systems
