Role Mission
As Master Data Team Leader in CUBE, you will lead a team responsible for managing and maintaining high-quality master data that underpins our Customers regulatory compliance capabilities.
You will play a critical role in ensuring Master Data quality and availability through the delivery of Master Data Management services to business stakeholders such as Publishing, Research and Engineering.
Reporting directly to the Master Data and Data Quality Manager, this role will collaborate closely with Team Leaders across the Data Operations department, including those in Data Management, Data Quality, Quality Assurance, and Operations Reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor a team of Master Data Analysts, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Manage workload distribution, performance reviews, and professional development.
- Champion data ownership and stewardship across the organization.
Master Data Governance
- Oversee the creation, maintenance, and lifecycle management of master data entities.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Research, Publishing, Subject Matter Experts, Project Leads and Operations to ensure data supports our customers regulatory obligations.
Data Quality & Controls
- Implement robust data quality checks, exception handling, and remediation processes.
- Monitor data KPIs and drive initiatives to improve completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Support audits and regulatory inspections with accurate and traceable data records.
Systems & Technology
- Work closely with IT and Product teams to enhance MDM platforms and data integration pipelines.
- Support system upgrades, UAT, and automation initiatives that improve data workflows.
- Leverage tools such as SQL, Excel, SSIS and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI).
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a key liaison between data operations and business units including Publishing, Research, Subject Matter Experts and Engineering.
- Translate business requirements into data solutions and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Manage escalations and drive resolution of data-related issues.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in master data management within financial services or RegTech.
- Strong understanding of financial instruments, regulatory reporting, and data governance frameworks.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Previous experience with process optimisation leveraging AI technologies such as Microsoft Copilot, is highly desirable. The role will actively contribute to initiatives involving AI-driven improvements, so familiarity with AI concepts and tools will be beneficial.
