An opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Operator within our Cambridge based Operations team. This role is responsible for delivering all aspects of an efficient end-to-end supply chain within Operations, including kit assembly, goods in/out, warehousing customer service and inventory management, whilst providing additional support to projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll be doing for us
To work as part of a team in executing tasks as directed by the Finished Goods Supervisor including, but not limited to, the following activities:
Final product assemblyMaintain Dangerous Goods and Dry Ice certificationPrint and reconcile version-controlled documents and labels confidently and independentlyMonitor and maintain tock levels of materials and reagents within the kit assembly area, identify and raise order requisitions and/or material requests for replenishmentOversee and ensure the maintenance of cleanliness and organisation of the kit assembly and dispatch areas, bench areas and fridge/ freezersRaise Material Transfer Form requests to replace stock as necessaryAssist with Materials Management tasks as directed, including the selection, and picking of warehouse items using the MRP systemAssist, when required, with creating packing sheets, adding stock entries and keying orders into the SAGE accounting systemProvide support across various Supply Chain functions including kit packing, dispatch, goods in processing and general warehouse operationsLiaise with Customer Services to ensure customer orders are fulfilled, prepared and dispatched on timeExecute and document tasks using approved ISO compliant documentationAdhere to procedures documented in the Cytocell quality system and ensuring that any non-compliance noted is reported in a timely manner using approved proceduresEnsuring safety related issues are reported, including completion of relevant documentationWrite and update SOP's BMR's and other documentation as requiredWorking within the dispatch area, liaising within Customer Services to ensure customer orders are fulfilled, prepared and dispatched on timePro-actively seek out and identify opportunities for process improvements and make recommendations to Supervisory TeamCollaborate with internal and external partners to drive the sustainable agenda along the entire supply chainCollaborate with cross-functional scientific, laboratory and R&D teams that include a diverse range of personalities and skills.To provide support to other areas of operation as required:
Complete tasks as commensurate with the level and nature of the post as delegated by the Finished Goods SupervisorAssist when required with warehouse goods-in and material transfer processes and update inventory systems accordinglyMaintain accurate inventory records and ensure warehouse inventory levels are optimized to meet manufacturing demand while minimizing carrying costsIdentify and investigate any inventory discrepancies or issues and implement corrective actions.What we are looking for in you
