We are currently looking for an Operational Financial Controller to join us at Doncaster. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.
Reporting to the Finance Director – NE BU, the Operational Financial Controller will be responsible for managing the Operations Finance team and the financial accounting & reporting processes of all of the manufacturing sites within the Northern Europe Business Unit, along with Business Partnering to the Multi- Plant Leader of those sites.
The rolePartner closely with the Multi-Plant Leader to support operational strategy, efficiency, and performance.
Lead and develop the Northern Europe Operations Finance Team, managing three finance professionals across multiple countries.
Deliver accurate, insightful monthly financial reporting, forecasts, and management information that adds value to decision-making.
Manage EBITA, NWC, cash flow, and balance sheet forecasting and control.
Drive continuous improvement in financial controls, governance, and compliance with Group standards.
Oversee internal audits, ensuring timely completion of all action plans.
Lead CAPEX planning and post-completion reviews, ensuring strong ROI and financial discipline.
Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to optimise cost structures and working capital.
Control operational overheads and ensure robust reconciliations and statutory reporting
Strong background in manufacturing finance and accounting, ideally within an international, multi-site organisation.
Proven leadership experience managing and motivating dispersed teams.
Expert understanding of international accounting standards and manufacturing cost drivers.
Commercial mindset — able to bridge the gap between operations and finance.
Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge and support stakeholders constructively.
A continuous improvement approach and the confidence to lead change.
Flexibility to travel across Northern Europe as required.
