We are currently looking for an Operational Financial Controller to join us at Doncaster. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on. 

Reporting to the Finance Director – NE BU, the Operational Financial Controller will be responsible for managing the Operations Finance team and the financial accounting & reporting processes of all of the manufacturing sites within the Northern Europe Business Unit, along with Business Partnering to the Multi- Plant Leader of those sites.

• Partner closely with the Multi-Plant Leader to support operational strategy, efficiency, and performance.

• Lead and develop the Northern Europe Operations Finance Team, managing three finance professionals across multiple countries.

• Deliver accurate, insightful monthly financial reporting, forecasts, and management information that adds value to decision-making.

• Manage EBITA, NWC, cash flow, and balance sheet forecasting and control.

• Drive continuous improvement in financial controls, governance, and compliance with Group standards.

• Oversee internal audits, ensuring timely completion of all action plans.

• Lead CAPEX planning and post-completion reviews, ensuring strong ROI and financial discipline.

• Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to optimise cost structures and working capital.

• Control operational overheads and ensure robust reconciliations and statutory reporting

• Strong background in manufacturing finance and accounting, ideally within an international, multi-site organisation.

• Proven leadership experience managing and motivating dispersed teams.

• Expert understanding of international accounting standards and manufacturing cost drivers.

• Commercial mindset — able to bridge the gap between operations and finance.

• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge and support stakeholders constructively.

• A continuous improvement approach and the confidence to lead change.

• Flexibility to travel across Northern Europe as required.
