What You'll Be Doing

As a Technical Programme Planner, you'll:

  • Analyse data to prioritise work and guide investment decisions
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with engineers to co-create effective, data led sustainable solutions that shape our long-term asset investment plans
  • Ensure teams have access to the systems and resources they need

You'll also contribute to strategic planning by:

  • Promoting excellence in Health & Safety across planning activities
  • Prioritising risk-based investments to meet programme targets
  • Aligning investment options with business goals and outcomes  
  • Supporting workshops and decision-making processes
  • Helping implement plans aligned with regulatory frameworks (e.g. WRMP, DWMP)
  • Communicating investment programmes clearly to stakeholders
  • Supporting cost-benefit analysis and whole-life costing

Who We're Looking For

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Previous work experience in regulated environments, such as utilities, is preferred but not essential
  • Experienced with data analysis
  • Is curious about infrastructure planning and asset management
  • Enjoys solving problems and working collaboratively
  • Has strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Wants to make a long-term impact on water services and sustainability

Package

  • This role will be full time Monday to Friday 37 hours a week  
  • Southern Water operate a hybrid approach to working between our sites and home
  • We are offering a salary starting from £32.700 per annum depending on skills and experience as well as other benefits including:
