Technical ProjectManager RoleProfile ThisTechnical Project Manager role requires someone with solid public address and voicealarm knowledge, good communication skills and technical project deliveryexperience. The ideal candidate will also have experience of working in a LinuxOS environment. Excellent planning skills are also required for this role. Youwill be able to demonstrate your experience of managing projects worth £250,000and above, ideally within Telecoms and Infrastructure environments. Reportingto the Head of Projects Engineering, the Technical Project Manager will beresponsible for the management of projects, ensuring successful delivery andthat all customers see the company as a business of excellence and one theywish to continue to work with. Therole will encompass designing a diverse portfolio of products, includingcontrol systems (Linux OS), public address voice alarms, IP speakers, intercomand networking products in addition to defining interfaces with third -partyproducts. Typical project delivery includes managing the design, development,implementation, testing and deployment of systems, together with sitecommissioning. Responsibilities ·       Reporting projectperformance, highlighting and managing all risks & issues and theirmitigations throughout the project life cycle·       Specifying and / ordesigning solutions using a combination of standard products with customdesigned control interfaces where required·       Producing andmanaging project management documentation (e.g. project programme / schedule, projectexecution plan, etc.)·       Production of projectdeliverable documentation (e.g. inspection and test plan [ITP], factory acceptancetest (FAT), etc.)·       Managing budgets,project risks, issues, project scope and project change control·       Providing support toBusiness Development and Product Managers for tenders·       Working with customers,colleagues and stakeholders to resolve technical and logistical problems,taking a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions·       Ensuring complianceto health & safety and contractual obligations are met·       Third -party interfacemanagement - experienced in managing multiple concurrent third -party vendorswith complex interdependencies·       Always ensuring you adopta full ownership end -to -end culture Experience ·       Specifying public address,voice alarm, passenger help point and intercom solutions using a range ofstandard products, designing custom interfaces where needed·       Using modelling toolsto predict system performance including power consumption·       Systems developmentand integration using Linux OS·       Reviewing andextracting design information from CAD drawings - managing the production ofinternal CAD drawings and schematics·       Identifying andmanaging technical risks within a project environment·       Working independentlywith minimal guidance·       Managing projectbudgets and forecasts·       Strong and provenability to work under pressure·       Good client -facingskills and commercial acumen·       Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills·       Excellent influencingand negotiating skills·       Managing andco -ordinating complex projects with multiple suppliers including on -siteactivities·       Strong leadership andpeople management skills·       Recognised as anexpert within own area Education& Qualifications ·       Degree in a relevantsubject such as Engineering / Computer Science / Mathematics or be able todemonstrate equivalent experience·       Possession of aProject Management qualification such as PRINCE2 or APM would be desirable·       Training will beprovided on the company's product range
