Who we are
Network Rail High Speed Ltd. (NRHS) is responsible for operating and maintaining the UK's only international high-speed railway (HS1) owned by London St. Pancras Highspeed.
The 109km London St. Pancras Highspeed infrastructure consists of a diverse range of railway assets such as the track, signalling, overhead line, lineside buildings, depots, viaducts and long tunnels. NRHS is also responsible for operating and maintaining three international stations; St Pancras, Stratford and Ebbsfleet International.
As a wholly owned subsidiary of Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd, NRHS is privately financed under an agreement with our client London St. Pancras Highspeed, undertaking a diverse range of activities from railway infrastructure maintenance and operations - through to station facilities management and retail on behalf of our client.

Brief DescriptionThe role
To provide day to day facilities and hard services management for all stations and route accommodation whilst also supporting the Property & Facilities Engineering Manager. Interfaces with Network Rail teams and Tier 1 Facilities Management contractors to maintain agreed levels of delivery.
Key accountabilities include:
- Assisting in the delivery of the facilities management contracts currently in place for MEP, Data and Comms, and Lifts, Escalators and Travellators, and help in maintaining and enhancing the facilities services strategy for workplace locations on the HS1 route.
- Working with colleagues to maintain and enhance the facilities management service with specific reference to end-user customer experience and financial performance.
- Overseeing the management of the maintenance of stations and workplace environment and facilities in compliance with corporate and statutory health and safety policies, diversity and inclusion strategies regulations and procedures, through rigorous contract management and the use of external auditing services.
- Advising on expenditure with respect to maintenance and renewal of the stations and workplace environment and facilities.
- Proactively developing and maintaining relationships across the wider business, with particular focus on the sharing of knowledge and best practice with the strategic sourcing teams.
- Maintaining and updating full database information for each building on existing and anticipated issues, with proposals, projected cost and income and business case as appropriate.
- Assessing and recommending repairs, renewals and improvement works having regard to costs and values and lease obligations in order to optimise portfolios.

About the role (External)The person

- NEBOSH or relevant health and safety qualifications?
- Proven experience in facilities management?
- Excellent communication skills?
The following are desirable, but a plus point if you also match any of these:
- Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management member
- Proven contract management skills
- Proven experience of managing complex budgets
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Knowledge of policies and standards relating to office accommodation
- Proven negotiation skills
- Full driving licence

The important stuff
The role is based at St Pancras, however frequent travel to our other office and site locations along the High Speed line is expected.

We follow a structured pay framework, any salary offered will be within the following pay range:
Band 4B - £35,582 - £42218 (plus inner London allowance of £3,270 per annum).
