Are you a driven professional looking to make an impact in the field of facilities management? We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Building Manager to join a dynamic team at a leading managing agent, working at a 250,000 sq ft commercial asset in Central London.

This organisation is a reputable managing agent specialising in the management and maintenance of commercial properties. With a strong commitment to exceptional service and sustainable practices, they strive to create productive and efficient environments for our clients and their tenants.

As an Assistant Building Manager, you will work closely with the Senior Building Manager and Engineering Manager to ensure the smooth operation of FM services delivered into the site. You will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of facilities management, supporting day-to-day operations, and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery.

  • Assist in managing service contracts, including but not limited to cleaning, security, landscaping, and maintenance.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the properties to identify any issues or areas requiring attention, and promptly address them.
  • Respond to tenant inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and timely manner, striving to provide excellent customer service.
  • Assist in the coordination of repairs, renovations, and general maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to tenants and operations.
  • Monitor and manage budgets related to facilities management, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including contracts, permits, and maintenance logs.

  • Previous experience in a facilities management role, preferably within a commercial property environment.

  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building positive relationships with tenants, contractors, and team members.
  • Sound knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and health and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in using computer software for documentation, reporting, and data management.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn
