Job Title: Business Development Executive – Electrical Wholesale

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and respected electrical wholesale business seeking an experienced Business Development Executive to join their team.

This is a hands-on role suited to a motivated, knowledgeable, and customer-focused professional with an existing client base and a deep understanding of the electrical wholesale sector.


 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive business growth by maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients and identifying new sales opportunities.

  • Support all front-of-house and counter sales operations, providing excellent customer service and technical advice.

  • Liaise with contractors, electricians, and trade professionals to understand requirements and recommend suitable products.

  • Work closely with the internal team to manage stock enquiries, pricing, and order fulfilment.

  • Assist with day-to-day branch operations, including answering phones, processing orders, managing displays, and keeping the trade counter running smoothly.

  • Keep up-to-date with market trends, product knowledge, and competitor activity to maintain a commercial edge.

  • Represent the business at trade events and industry functions as required.

 
Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar business development role within the electrical wholesale industry.

  • Strong existing network of contacts and clients within the sector.

  • In-depth knowledge of electrical products and their applications.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.

  • A proactive and flexible approach able to switch between sales, customer service, and operational tasks as needed.

  • Strong commercial awareness with a passion for driving results.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage and grow your own client portfolio.
