Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Food & Beverage Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and team management within a restaurant, hotel, or similar environment. This role requires leadership, organisational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food safety, ensuring efficient food production, and fostering a positive team atmosphere to enhance guest satisfaction.

Duties

  • Manage and supervise all food and beverage operations, including kitchen and service staff
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food production
  • Supervise serving staff to deliver excellent customer service
  • Implement and uphold food safety regulations and hygiene standards
  • Organise staff schedules, training sessions, and performance evaluations
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs effectively
  • Develop menus in collaboration with management team to reflect current trends and guest preferences
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of all food service areas
  • Lead by example in hospitality excellence, fostering a team-oriented environment

Experience

  • Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel or catering environment
  • Extensive culinary experience including food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
  • Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to motivate staff
  • Previous experience in food production and kitchen operations
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and best practices
  • Experience in managing barista services or bar operations is desirable
  • Strong leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills
  • Background in serving or hospitality roles that emphasise guest satisfaction is required
  • Holding a Personal Licence is preferable
