Torwood Garden Centre is a family run, independent business established locally in 1942. As you would expect from a modern garden centre we have a strong history of growing and selling plants, as well as a large restaurant and an extensive range of clothing, gifts, furniture and gardening accessories.

As the business continues to grow we are looking to recruit a Admin and Payroll Assistant to join our team. The role will involve working with Sage Accounting and Sage Payroll. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail and a good understanding of basic accounts processes.

Essential duties:

· Complete monthly payroll for all 74 employees.

· Reconcile bank statements against receipts and invoices.

· Generate invoices for businesses and communicate with customers to ensure timely payment.

· Assist in other areas of business as required within working hours.

Experience:

  • Sage Accounting: 1 year (Preferred but not essential - training available)
  • Sage Payroll: 1 year (Preferred but not essential - training available)
  • Excel
