The Company
Are you an NPD enthusiast looking to take the next step in your career? Our client is part of a prominent chilled manufacturing group operating across several sites in the UK and internationally. They are now seeking an experienced Product Developer to join their dynamic team to help deliver amazing products for their prestigious retail customers.
The Role
Developing products within the fast-moving chilled sector you'll be responding to customer briefs and using your creative flair to drive exciting new concepts that reflect up and coming food trends. Your role will involve developing new and existing recipes into commercially viable products, working closely with the NPD Chefs and assisting the Process team to scale up production trials to ensure quality is of the highest levels. You'll also review and approve all documentation to support this process.
You'll be supporting the Chefs to create recipes, work with suppliers to source new ingredients, meet commercial parameters, weight and nutritional requirements, whilst also being consistent with customer and food safety requirements.
In addition, you'll work closely with the commercial team, conducting range reviews and benchmarking your ideas against competitors. Presenting this internally and to customers, you will demonstrate good market and food trend awareness to achieve product approval that ensures you are streets ahead.
