Practice Manager

Lincoln, Office based

Reporting to: Managing Director

Are you a natural leader who thrives on creating structure, elevating performance, and being the trusted right-hand to senior leadership? We're looking for an exceptional Practice Manager to join our Wealth Management team and play a pivotal role in our success.

Tower House Wealth Management
is a well-established consultancy at the heart of Lincoln, renowned for our collaborative culture and commitment to excellence. We are seeking a dynamic, organised, and forward-thinking
Practice Manager
to join our thriving team. This is a pivotal role, offering the opportunity to shape the future of our office by driving technological advancement, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

About the Role

As our Practice Manager, you will work closely with the Managing Director, acting as a strategic advisor, sounding board, and operational powerhouse. You'll bring clarity and cohesion across the business, keeping the team aligned, the office running smoothly, and our clients at the centre of everything we do.

You will take full ownership of people, processes, and systems—championing best practice and driving operational excellence. Your leadership will directly influence our culture and performance, enabling our advisers and support staff to deliver an outstanding client experience every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the practice, including people management, business processing, regulatory compliance, marketing, and client servicing.
  • Provide high-level technical and administrative support to advisers and the Managing Director.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex client queries, liaising with advisers, clients, and third parties.
  • Ensure consistent and efficient performance from the team through effective management and process improvement.
  • Deliver technical support and training to new and junior staff.
  • Manage workflow, holiday bookings, and ensure all client documentation is complete and compliant.
  • Oversee financial promotions, including updates to the company website.
  • Track ongoing advice meetings and management information through the CRM.
  • Drive continuous improvement in systems and processes to enhance efficiency and client service.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in a similar role within wealth management, financial services, or mortgage services.
  • Senior administration experience, ideally with team leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong organisational skills and a self-starter mentality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport swiftly and act as a trusted advisor.
  • Experience managing workflow, systems, and procedures, with a keen eye for regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of client management systems such as Salesforce.
  • DIP PFS qualification preferred; we offer full exam support for the Chartered Insurance Institute.
  • Professional, discreet, and confident in all interactions.

Personal Qualities We Are Looking For

  • Ability to build and sustain lasting client relationships, earning trust through professional expertise, personal service, and genuine care.
  • Strategic mindset, continuously moving forward by challenging the norm and identifying smarter, more efficient ways to deliver value to clients.
  • Strong sense of accountability, owning decisions and outcomes while setting high standards for self and team.
  • Inclusive leadership style that fosters collaboration, encourages knowledge-sharing, and supports colleagues across teams and locations.
  • Commitment to supporting growth, both by nurturing the development of junior team members and by pursuing their own professional growth.
  • Proactive approach to managing complex workloads, with the ability to balance priorities, anticipate challenges, and deliver results under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to translate financial insights into clear, actionable advice for clients and stakeholders.
  • Resilient and adaptable under change, maintaining a positive outlook and guiding others through challenges.
  • Client-focused outlook, acting as a true partner and extension of the client's team, invested in their success and long-term goals.

What we offer you:

Professional Growth & Learning

  • Comprehensive training package and ongoing learning opportunities to support your career development.
  • Full exam support for Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualifications, helping you achieve your professional goals and advance in your field.

Generous Leave & Work-Life Balance

  • 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, giving you plenty of time to recharge and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
  • Following probation, this role could be 1 day per week working from home. We can offer flexibility around start and finish times. Our preference is full-time, we can consider slightly less than full-time for the right person.

Financial Security & Wellbeing

  • Workplace pension scheme to help you plan for the future.
  • Life assurance for peace of mind.
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) for confidential support when you need it.

Employee Discounts & Perks

  • Employee benefits scheme offering discounts from hundreds of retailers, making your everyday spending go further.

Supportive & Collaborative Culture

  • Work in a vibrant, forward-thinking environment where your ideas are valued.
  • Join a team that prides itself on collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and supporting each other's growth.

Opportunity to Make an Impact

  • Play a key role in shaping the future of the business, driving technological advancement, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Be a trusted advisor to the Managing Director and a leader within the team.

Our process includes an initial conversation with our Talent team to give you more information about the role, and answer any questions you may have. Next steps would be a meeting with the MD (we can do this over teams to keep it convenient for you) then a face to face meeting at our offices in Lincoln. We will endeavour to make the process convenient for you.
