Working with NSG
NSG Environmental Ltd has been delivering work programmes in the nuclear industry for over 40 years. Traditionally in the areas of decommissioning and waste management, NSG now has a broad customer base and provides a wide spectrum of services across the nuclear project lifecycle, ranging from expert consultancy support, R&D and engineering design to rekit and refurbishment, site installation services and high-hazard physical decommissioning works, amongst others. This work is delivered at NSG's own offices and purpose-built facilities and nuclear sites across the UK. The delivery and management of these projects and programmes of work is carried out by a skilled workforce composed of both white-collar and blue-collar personnel in technical, administrative, and physical roles.

The Role
To assist the ESH & Q Manager & ESH & Q Advisor(s) with any ESH & Q administration tasks that are required.

Key Objectives
Duties
Working, at all times, under the supervision of a qualified/experienced member of staff, the apprentice will undertake a range of duties to include:

Administration

  • Assisting with maintenance of ESH & Q information and procedures
  • Collating and adding utility data from invoices
  • Assisting with ESH & Q related documentation including filing
  • Logging and collecting responses to event reports and AO's
  • Scheduling Walk rounds
  • Assisting with QSHEW updates, formatting & issuing of documents
  • Provision of PPE
  • Waste data gathering and input
  • Site emergency equipment checks
  • Positive AO letters
  • Action chasing

Person Specification
Qualifications

  • GCSE / NVQ level 2 qualification in appropriate subjects including: English Mathematics IT
  • ICT NVQ Level 2 or Equivalent
  • IOSH Managing Safely or Equivalent
  • Level 2 Health & Safety in the Workplace or equivalent is essential to the role

Experience and Knowledge

  • Well organised with the ability to work to timescales and demonstrate attention to detail
  • Routine recording and reporting of information both verbal and numerical

Skills & Abilities

  • Competent user of MS Office
  • Able to organise and prioritise own work
  • Time Management

Package - Staff only
Hours hours per week

Overtime – hours per week – Time and half

Overtime – 60+ hours per week or Sundays – Double time
