Warehouse Inbound Checker

We are looking for an Inbound Checker to join our Operations Team based at our Frontier Park Unit within Blackburn.

This is a permanent, full-time position, Monday to Friday with weekly rotating shifts (6 am to 2.00 pm/2.00 pm to 10.00 pm) i.e. 37.5 hours per week.

We are seeking an accurate and conscientious individual who is literate and numerate.

Job Purpose

To accurately check /count incoming stock and receipt onto the WMS.

Duties

• Work in line with agreed company work procedures.
• Count physical stock received against quantity and description as advised on supplier delivery note.
• Ensuring the appropriate level of count is carried out, e.g. 100% check on outer cartons and 10% check of carton contents.
• High value and specific deliveries will require 100% contents check.
• Accurately follow the inbound process.
• Repalletise stock as required in order for the pallets to be located in the warehouse racking.
• Report any delivery count discrepancies through the correct channels
• Health and Safety procedures must be observed at all times, to maintain a safe and legal working environment.
• A good standard of housekeeping must be maintained within all work areas.
• Work areas must be kept clean and free from obstruction or waste at all times.
• Undertake other duties as required in order to support the business in achieving excellence for all customers.

Critical Skills

• Experience of WMS and PC applications
• An MHE license is advantageous
• Ability to follow instructions
• Understanding of basic Health and safety
• Common sense approach with an aptitude for detail.
