Introduction:
Jas P Wilson Forest Machines are looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Coordinator to join the Marketing Department, to support the implementation, organisation and reporting of marketing activities, as set out by the Director of Marketing.
We are a family owned and operated business, operating since 1964. It is a leading UK based Forestry & Firewood machinery manufacturer and distributor, with a team of 70 staff covering a wide range of professions and sectors. The business trades primarily business-to-business across the UK & the Republic of Ireland. This role would suit an individual with commercial experience within Marketing or a related industry, or qualifications in marketing, online business development, journalism, digital design or commercial video production.
Specialist product training and brand guidance will be given.
Job purpose:
Key duties will support the operational of the department, coordinating and facilitating marketing activity – including the planning, implementation, and completion of tasks related to the creation of effective online & offline marketing activities, including the creation of editorial content, advertising campaigns, social media content creation, trade show/exhibition preparation and data handling to report on marketing activity.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
You will report to the Director of Marketing to carry out the following tasks:
Coordination and implementation of Marketing Strategy.
Content creation and delivering insights on Social Media performance – including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok – including the creation of the video content.
Development of email campaigns to send to our subscribers
General website maintenance. Write content for our website to improve user experience, add product updates and improve search rankings.
Working alongside other departments to support wider objectives of business.
Support Trade show planning & promotion. Occasional trade show visits
Support the collection of and utilisation of Data and statistics.
Develop presentations for commercial, educational and other partners.
Person-profile:
Personality: An enthusiastic, committed & reliable individual with experience or qualifications to support marketing objectives. You must be a self-motivated and have the ability to create new ideas. Must be good at working either individually or within a team to achieve goals. Meeting deadlines and planning ahead is also a key part of the role to ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard, in a timely manner.
Specific Job Skills: Able to communicate well via written media particularly in relation to product listing details, email and social posts. Appreciates the need for brand consistency and has excellent attention to detail.
Literacy and Numeracy: Must have excellent English and grammar.
Computer skills:
To apply for this role, you must be IT proficient.
· Experience in Marketing, Business Development, Journalism or related field.
· Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office (Essential)
· Experience with Instagram/Facebook/Tik Tok (Essential)
· Knowledge of Email Design (Desired)
· Knowledge of other platforms & tools such as Google Ads, WordPress (Desirable)
Other related skills:
· Experience in a Marketing/Graphic Design/Media related field.
· Photography Experience (Desired) – Applicant will have access to company owned equipment.
Education & Experience:
· A National 5s, Higher, HNC, HND or Degree qualification or equivalent industry experience in Media, Graphic Design or Digital Marketing.
- It would be an advantage to include relevant links to design & marketing work experience and completed tasks.
· Valid Driver's License (Desired for offsite photoshoots, customer case studies & trade shows).

Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday

Pay: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
