Summary
Kennington Primary School is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant Level 3 to join our friendly and supportive team. This role will predominantly be based in Year 6, providing high-quality support to help pupils achieve their full potential as they prepare for their transition to secondary school.
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging and effective learning experiences, provide small group and one-to-one support, contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment and will provide supervisory cover for the class or other classes when required, ensuring pupils remain on task and report on progress to the teacher.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning activities under the direction of the class teacher.
- Provide targeted interventions and support for individuals and small groups, particularly in English and Maths.
- Assist with preparation of learning materials and classroom organisation.
- Monitor, record, and report on pupils' progress as required.
- Promote inclusion and ensure all pupils are supported to participate fully in school life.
- Supervise pupils during breaks and lunchtimes as required.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support pupil development and wellbeing.
