This varied role involves preparing supplier information summaries, tracking costs, planning and smooth running of social and networking events as well as purchasing merchandise and gifts.Working in the Operations team, there will be a mix of routine and one-off activities for employees and office set up, as well as engagements that promote the company brands at external industry and university events across the country.This is a support role aimed at providing the best possible experience for employees, applicants, clients and prospects alike. It involves an element of travel between offices and event venues across the UK as required.Structured training will be given, and the role requires the successful candidate to follow detailed procedures and work to precise briefs.Events ResponsibilitiesCoordinating employee engagement activities and events including weekly sports and social activities, office lunches, drinks and other celebrationsAssisting with the set-up of engagement activities at external sales and university events across the UK to help promote Dorset Software IT Team Services and Careers opportunitiesMaking bookings on time, and at the best prices, with accurate tracking in the finance systemsMonitoring participation of events to ensure value for moneyResearching and presenting comparison data for a wide range of venues, entertainment options, suppliers, gifts and merchandiseTaking part in the organisation of company-wide events such as the Summer and New Year partiesFacilities ResponsibilitiesGreeting visitors, welcoming new employees and answering callsSetting up meeting rooms, communal areas, workstations and new officesAcceptance and provision of goods and services such as I.T. equipment and groceriesResponding to cases on-demandAssisting with maintaining high standards in all the offices including overseeing cleaning and securitySkills And ExperienceEnjoy working closely with othersGood at working within the scope of structured procedures and instructionsExcellent attention to detail, eager to work accurately and to high standardsProactive with strong organisation and prioritisation skillsExperience of building supplier relationshipsVery strong verbal and written communication skillsMinimum of 1-2 years in a customer service-based roleAble to perform physical moving of equipmentBenefitsFlexible working hoursFree parkingCasual dress codeCompany pension schemeShower and changing facilitiesComplimentary drinks, snacks and fresh fruitRegular subsidised sporting and social activities and eventsA healthy balance between a strong work ethic and a life outside of workA supportive and productive company culture and great colleaguesDorset Software is a leading provider of bespoke business applications, development consultancy and IT support services.The company has a friendly working environment, offering growth for employees to fulfil their potential.
