Role: Business Development Manager – Equipment Rental/Powered Access Kevin Edward Executive Search are partnering with a leading name in the Equipment Rental sector to recruit an ambitious and driven Business Development Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company with a strong market presence and a commitment to growth. The Role As the Business Development Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind new business generation and management of accounts. You’ll manage your own portfolio of customers, build strong relationships, and uncover opportunities for revenue growth in line with the company’s sales strategy. Key Responsibilities Managing customers and sites within your territory. Achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth against budget. Developing new business and revitalising dormant accounts. Building long-term relationships with key accounts and project clients. Conducting site surveys and supporting clients with risk assessments and method statements. Keeping accurate records in the company CRM. Delivering excellent customer service and swift resolution to queries. Ideal Candidate We’re looking for someone with proven success in sales, ideally within the rental or a closely related industry. You’ll be a proactive self‑starter with strong communication skills, commercial awareness, and a track record of meeting and exceeding targets. Key Attributes Proven sales experience with a history of achieving results. Experience within the Hire industry is essential. Knowledge of Powered Access Equipment is preferred but not essential. Confident communicator – both written and verbal. Highly motivated, professional, and able to work under pressure. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
