City Of London, United Kingdom Zopa Bank Full time

Product Manager – Transaction Fraud Solution at Zopa Bank Hello there. We’re Zopa. We started our journey back in 2005, building the first ever peer‑to‑peer lending company. Fast forward to 2020 and we launched Zopa Bank—a bank that listens to what our customers don’t like about finance and does the opposite. We’re redefining what it feels like to work in finance. Our vision for a new era of banking puts people front and centre; we’ve built a business that empowers everyone to aim high, every day, to move finance forward. With the successful launch of our new Current Account and ambitions to grow existing products (Credit Card, Savings, and Loans), the number of Zopa customers and transactions is scaling rapidly. A big focus area to support this growth is strengthening our ability to detect, prevent, and protect consumers from fraud. That’s where our Activities and Transaction Monitoring team comes in. This complex space demands both a deep understanding of fraud problems and the creativity to innovate in line with industry trends and regulations. Our north star is: stop bad actors in their tracks while ensuring a smooth operations process and provide low‑friction experience for our customers. Responsibilities Own the solution end‑to‑end – partner with fraud and fincrime experts to design effective detection, build robust systems with engineering, and define downstream operational processes. Drive innovation with delivery focus – problem‑solve with engineers to design solutions that mitigate fraud threats efficiently, reduce customer friction, and deliver fast learning through iterative releases. Shape the roadmap – translate strategy into a clear, prioritised roadmap that balances fraud loss, operational cost, and customer experience. Lead cross‑functional alignment – build trusted relationships with Fraud Strategy, Operations, Payments, Fraud Experience, Risk, and more to deliver outcomes at scale. Support all Zopa products – ensure our monitoring and screening solutions protect customers across Current Account, Credit Card, Savings, and Loans. Act with an owner’s mindset – make trade‑off decisions across risk, customer impact, and commercial outcomes to move the right metrics forward. About You Proven product management experience (ideally in fintech), particularly with backend services and complex technical systems. Strong attention to detail with the ability to navigate complex, regulated domains. A track record of successful cross‑functional collaboration, extracting insights from diverse perspectives. Data‑driven decision making: ability to synthesize multiple data sources, customer feedback, and business insights. Bias toward action: you prefer test‑and‑learn approaches over waiting for perfection. Experience breaking down large initiatives into deliverable increments that deliver value progressively. Ability to influence without authority, building buy‑in and adoption across the organisation. Added Bonus Experience in financial services, fraud detection, or payments. Familiarity with A/B testing and experimentation frameworks. Flexible Working We value face‑to‑face collaboration and a good work‑life balance. This hybrid role requires you to come to our London office 2‑3 days a week. You’ll also have the option of working from abroad for up to 120 days a year* Subject to having the right to work in the country of choice. Diversity Statement Zopa is proud to offer a workplace free from discrimination. Diversity of experience, perspectives, and backgrounds leads to better products for our customers and a unique company culture for our people. We are made up of nearly 50 nationalities, have a DE&I forum made up of Zopians wanting to make a difference and we are proud of our culture where everyone can bring their full self to work. Our approach to DE&I is reflected in our hiring process so please let us know if you require any reasonable adjustments. We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analysing resumes, or assessing responses. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgement. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.
