VP Technical Programs (Chief of Staff) We're looking for a VP Technical Programs (Chief of Staff). WHAT YOU WILL DO Job Purpose The VP of Technology Programs (Chief of Staff) will serve as a key leader responsible for driving strategic technology initiatives fostering innovation and advancing the organizations technological capabilities whilst taking care of key Chief of Staff responsibilities providing operational and strategic support to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). The VP will also participate in or lead the execution of various programs ensuring alignment with organizational goals and maximizing impact. It is expected the distribution of expected effort to be : 50% of the job focuses on the responsibilities of Chief of Staff 30% supporting the CTO and the Tech MDs be more effective when embracing new technologies tech strategies tech partnerships 20% on special projects where there is not a natural place to execute within LTech Key Accountabilities Strategic Leadership & CTO Enablement Act as a trusted advisor and right-hand partner to the CTO ensuring effective prioritization and execution of strategic objectives Provide executive-level reporting and presentations for board meetings stakeholders and strategic forums Enable the CTO to focus on key priorities by managing operational workflows handling cross-functional initiatives and providing oversight of non-standard projects & programs Oversee and streamline administration for CTO Office including effective and efficient use of resources Represent the CTO in key discussions ensuring alignment and secure continuity in decision-making as requested by the CTO Lead the identification of innovative technologies to support the organizations long‑term goals Technology Program Leadership Provide strategic support to the CTO and Tech MDs in adopting and integrating new technologies ensuring alignment with overall business objectives Facilitate the development and execution of technology strategies and partnerships enhancing the effectiveness and innovation within the organization Manage oversight of initiatives that cross organizational boundaries or do not fit within existing departmental structures as directed by CTO When required and not delivered by the LTech teams deliver high-quality analyses reports and presentations to inform executive decision-making and stakeholder engagement Drive cross-functional (special / non-standard) projects and initiatives ensuring delivery within scope and quality standards upon request of the CTO Stakeholder Engagement Serve as the primary point of contact between Liberty Tech and other parts of Liberty Global as well as external stakeholders as directed by CTO Facilitate communication of complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences Build strong relationships where not (yet) provided by the LTech departments across clients (OpCos and 3rd parties) vendors and partners to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment on technical strategies. Whilst securing that where possible first line of contact is driven and owned by the LTech departments Team & Leadership Development Build and lead a high‑performing team that delivers innovative technology while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement Act as a bridge between technical teams and business leaders ensuring alignment of objectives and seamless communication Foster a culture of innovation collaboration and continuous improvement within the organization & its group Act as a liaison between technical teams and business leaders ensuring clear communication and alignment of goals Represent Liberty Tech at industry events conferences and forums to position the organization as a leader in technological innovation where requested by the CTO Facilitate a high-performing extended Liberty Tech leadership team by fostering collaboration alignment and shared accountability Mentor and lead direct reports promoting a culture of continuous improvement innovation and excellence WHAT WILL YOU BRING Knowledge & Experience Degree in Technology Business or a related field MBA or equivalent advanced degree Extensive experience in senior technology leadership roles preferably within the telecommunications or TMT sectors Proven track record of managing high‑performing teams and complex cross‑functional projects & programs Strong leadership strategic thinking and program management capabilities Extensive experience in technology program and project management with a proven ability to deliver high‑impact results Exceptional problem‑solving and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and execute in a fast‑paced environment Demonstrated ability to enable leadership teams to perform at their best Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders Whats in it for you Competitive salary Bonus where applicable 25 days annual leave with the option to purchase 5 more Access to wellbeing and mental health benefits such as the Calm app personal medical critical illness cover and dental insurance Matched pension contribution up to 10% (UK only) Free public transport subscription (NL only) 24 hours of paid Volunteer Time Off Discounted gym and wellness memberships Access to our car benefit scheme Access to our online learning platform to continue to develop and grow your career with us The chance to join an innovative fast‑paced and passionate team Who we are : Liberty Global is a dynamic team of operators and investors committed to generating and delivering value through the strategic management of our three platforms : Liberty Telecom Liberty Growth and Liberty Services.
